Join us for this fun, free program for parents/caregiver with children aged 0-6 years! Play and early learning activities include arts and crafts, dramatic play, sensory play, games, songs and stories. This drop-in program is facilitated by qualified EarlyON Facilitators who are happy to answer questions about early learning and child development, parenting topics, and can provide additional information about other community programs and services. This is also an ideal opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with others for social and community support.
Congratulations on your new baby! We hope you will join us for the Baby and Me program where parents/caregivers with children aged 0-6 months are invited to connect with their babies, other adults and caring professionals to ensure that your first few months together go as smoothly as possible. During this stage, babies are developing bonds of love and trust with their parents and others as part of social and emotional development. As a new parent, it is important that you take care of yourself - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Parenting can be hard work! It is easier to enjoy your new baby and be a positive, loving parent when you are feeling good yourself. This program will support you in the early months of parenthood, and provide an opportunity to connect with others!
Did you have a baby recently? Are you looking to connect with other parents to talk about your experiences? Children are born ready to learn, and have many skills to learn over many years. Parents and other caregivers can support healthy brain growth by speaking to, playing with, and caring for their child. Bringing Up Baby is for parents with children birth to 12 months who are looking for an opportunity to connect and engage with an EarlyON Facilitator, community partners, and other parents. This interactive program will highlight a different topic each week related to parenting during a baby’s first year. Come join the conversation, learn some songs and rhymes to help build your child's early literacy experience, and develop lifelong friendships with other parents. No fancy toys or special equipment needed!
Do you have a child who will be entering school in September? Sign up for the four-session Kindergarten, Here We Come! program. We will explore the expectations we have for children, activities that will support their future success in school, and ideas that you can use at home to prepare you and your child for their next learning adventure! Those that complete all four sessions with us will receive a certificate of completion, and a gift pack to extend learning activities over the summer. Registration will be accepted through KEyON.
As your baby continues to grow, you will notice new and exciting skills that your child is developing! Through play experiences and interactions with you (you are still their favourite toy!), they continue to make sense of the world around them. Your child may be learning to crawl, walk, climb, use stairs and throw a ball - and they are on the move! This means they need lots of active playtime to explore. Designed for children aged 9-24 months, this program offers an opportunity for you and your child to actively participate in fun songs, rhymes, stories and experiences that will challenge fine and gross motor muscles, support brain development and encourage curiosity! Parents/caregivers will also have access to resources, supports and ideas that will support them in this new chapter of the parenting adventure.
The Parent-Child Mother Goose program is a fun, interactive group experience for you and your child(ren). This program focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories to build connection. It will give your child healthy early experiences with communication, language, and social relationships. It is also a chance for you to connect with other parents with young children. Parents/caregivers with children aged 0-6 years are welcome!
